Huachuma is a 45-minute documentary by Mitch Schultz, director of DMT: The Spirit Molecule, which follows Aubrey Marcus and a group of friends on a journey deep into the heart of the Peruvian rainforest to discover a nearly lost tradition derived from the San Pedro cactus. The ceremonial use of Huachuma for healing has been a facet of Perúvian culture for over 3,000 years. Though the primary active ingredient is mescaline, Maestro Don Howard Lawler makes a tea using the entire San Pedro cactus according to an ancient Chavín recipe. The resulting holistic brew, which contains numerous symbiotic compounds, offers a unique meditative and medicinal experience.
