Researchers at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology examined several studies from the 1960s where doctors used LSD to combat alcoholism and found it to be a promising treatment. LSD is a non-addictive drug that enables intense introspection and problem solving which gives patients more motivation to participate in alcohol treatment programs and insights into why they are turning to alcohol.
