Full Podcast: What is Ayahuasca? Featuring Tony Moss

by Amber Lyon 10 Comments

In this episode of Reset with Amber Lyon, musician Tony Moss, who has 18 years experience drinking ayahuasca, shares his knowledge about this  medicinal brew from the Amazon rainforest.   Moss says the most common ailments he’s seen treated with ayahuasca are depression and any kind of trauma related mental or physical illness.  Moss says the ayahuasca somehow safely brings the user back to the original trauma, allows them to move into a safe space and process it.

Loved listening to Amber and Tony discuss this very important subject, pioneering its acceptance in the “civilized” world. I definitely want to get into Ayahuasca and will be exploring it further and reporting on it to our audience at http:/FreeEnergyNews.com They’re outside the box in many areas, and are likely to be receptive to this. I’m looking forward to the transformation Ayahuasca will bring in my life, as well as how it might help others I know.

Excellent interview. What a marvelous service Amber and Tony offer the world. Using different words, both make the point that the soul is a sovereign entity and not bound in any way to social, political, economic or religious contracts of this species. All such contracts are arbitrary and often specious.

We all have much purge so as to better remember who and what we are. At Takiwasi Center in Tarapoto, Perú, founded by French pathologist, Jacques Mobit, one goes through 1 – 3 weeks of physical and psychological purging BEFORE the 1st ayahuasca ceremony begins. http://takiwasi.com

En – ‘theo – gen. Accent on the 2nd syllable.

The term is derived from two words of ancient Greek, ἔνθεος (entheos) and γενέσθαι (genesthai). The adjective entheos translates as “full of the god, inspired, possessed”, and is the root of the English word “enthusiasm.” The Greeks used it as a term of praise for poets and other artists.

Genesthai means “to come into being.” Thus, an entheogen is a drug that causes one to become inspired or to experience feelings of inspiration, often in a religious or spiritual manner. Words like “genesis”, “gestation” and “germination” come from this same Greek root.

Wow!!! The wealth and breadth of Tony’s knowledge is astounding! He’s connected so many dots for me, in particular when he talks about hereditary trauma – a finding I’ve only stumbled upon fairly recently myself – and epigenetics and how Ayahuasca promotes switching detrimental genes off and beneficiary ones on (the latter being a central finding of epigenetics to the best of my knowledge). What can I say – this is an epic podcast, Amber! Thanks so much for your great work! (And on a side-note: Tony comes across like a really great likeable guy. I hope, this doesn’t sound condescending or weird. But even his whole manner of speaking, composure, body language etc. speaks of a purified, healed spirit. In other words: It becomes evident to me that he walks his talk)
